A. Action Items

- Help set-up screen and concessions 6:30pm - 8pm. Do not need to stay for movie or help take down, but are welcome to if able.

Outstanding deposits: ~ $696 (yard sale made $139, cotton candy at cornhole tourney, donations)

D. Old Business

Sumas Days Recap
- Cornhole tournament: Selling popcorn at the cornhole tournament was work it - made more money there than at Sumas Days on Saturday. Sold cotton candy and shirts; ran out of cotton candy. $575 total from cash/credit card, $142 in donations. New cotton candy machine works great. Mayor Bosch talked about possibly having a beer/wine garden next year - if so, FOSL should consider selling other stuff as well: nachos, etc.
- Parade: Don’t have Fossil holding the banner in front (Cayla had Fossil there, but it was a mistake…will know better next year!). Fossil should be free to roam to shake hands with kids.
- Book recommendations: Was a good idea, but maybe next year split the books up between the library and the FOSL booth.
- Wall between booths: don’t have this next year…nobody like it. Had it this year due to the levy and wanted to distinctly show the difference between FOSL and the library.

E. New Business

Invoices for Approval - none this month
Recap of Purchases made:
- t-shirts: Vendor is Pacific Point Apparel (local company) cost $10 - $15, selling for $20 each no matter the size (youth or adult). Discussed having separate prices for youth/adult, but decided easier to have a single price.
- Stickers: selling for $3 each
Consignment at the Drug Store
- FOSL items will be available for purchase at Sumas Drug. Price will be the same as at previous events.
Movie in the Park #1
- Ballistic Brew (coffee truck) will be at the event and will have specially themed drinks to go along with the movie
- Concessions will be hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and cotton candy. Need to purchase most of the items. Will also have a toppings bar to use on either nachos or hot dogs. Candy (leftovers) will be saved for the carnival. Water will be available to purchase, and a minimum amount of sodas well (what is not expired from last year). Expired sodas will be used in some sort of game for the carnival on August 23
- Would like to do a test run at Sycamore Park (by the history museum) especially with regards to sound, electrical needs. Movie projector, speakers and screen will get electricity from the museum. Concessions will get power from the basketball courts. Need 4 plugs (hot dogs, cheese, hot dog warmer, and popcorn) but only a 2 plug, so will need an extension cord with additional female plugs to get required amount.
- Text Lizette when a date has been determined for the test run and access to the Museum is needed.
- Brett will MC Movie in the Park. Would like to have a slide show/video of levy before the movie starts.
Carnival
- Ballistic Brew unsure if she can make carnival date
- Mermaid (Ashlyn) unavailable this year
- Maybe do face painting? If you know someone who does this, please email info@friendsofthesumaslibrary.org
- Considered having FOSL logo printed on tote bags to give out to kids, but was $6/bag to do this, so scrapping this idea.
