Summer reading started yesterday June 1 and runs through August 28th. Get “read”y at your library and earn stickers for doing activities in various categories
- Keep ‘23’ in mind for summer reading events:
  - Monday, June 23rd is the day to come to the library to get a free book to keep. For ages 18 and under. Board books available for the really young kids!
  - August 23rd is the end-of-summer reading celebration - an old school carnival hosted by Friends of the Sumas Library.
New issues of WCLS Explorations is out. Look for it in your mail or pick one up at the library.

Invoices to approve:
- “READ” bag for schools - $43.50
- FOSL t-shirts (96 shirts; blue and green) - $1,264.84; around $13.18 per shirt; plan to sell shirts $15 for youth and $20 for adult
- FOSL stickers (300 stickers; 4 variants) - $105.
FOSL approved all new invoices

FOSL to provide cotton candy ($5) and popcorn ($2) as paid concessions to the cornhole tournament on Friday, June 27 (6pm)
Sell leftovers, t-shirts, and stickers at Sumas Community Days
FOSL garage sale as part of community garage sale on June 21 (run on behalf of FOSL but not by FOSL itself). FOSL members are asked to donate items to sell. Please bring items to the Sumas Library during open hours. Do not leave them in the foyer of the library or outside the front door. Thank you. Sumas Days
- Set up tent booth between 8-9am
- Walk in parade with Fossil at 11am
- Staff the tent booth to sell FOSL merch and promote books with the library
- Promote books from book recommendations
