Outstanding payments

- -$350 for Whatcom Grooves (approved in prior meetings but now being paid)

Whatcom Grooves with Pine & Shake took place in July and was a success!

There are still 3 more Whatcom Grooves concerts in Blaine, Demming, and North Fork libraries coming up
Summer Reading is over
- Generally we liked the new version but it felt like it went really fast
- Several FOSL members liked the version from a few years ago with the tree, primarily for the visual of shared community growth with a common goal

Library staff is taking a much needed breath! Not anything specific needed but they will let us know
Attend programs! Promote programs! One of the most useful things we can do is to simply show up and encourage others to show up to library events
Attending programs shows support, but we are also encouraged to share feedback and share ideas

Ballistic Brew was busy!
Attendence was estimated to be ~150 people, which matches what we estimate for prior years

Hot dogs were missed, last year they sold more than nachos
- Some people offered to bring their grill to make hot dogs next year, removing the issue of needing more electricity
- Alternatively we can see if the Legion wants to run a “food truck” to sell burgers
We tripped the power switch this year trying to run cotton candy, a pot warmer, and an induction burner. Popcorn ran on a small electric battery but that run out of power before the movie ended. We were able to switch from induction to popcorn
Cheese did not heat up quickly enough. Preheat pot warmer prior to event and don’t put both cans in at once.

Needed but didn’t have:
- ladle
- can opener
- popcorn oil pump
- rubber spatula
- more tables
Need station-based totes to make it easy to set up and take down. A previous verison of this tried to make “event” totes but planning our machine/station makes this more modular
Add machine quick start guides for quick reference at event. Anyone should be able to run any machine even with no experience.
Combo with Whatcom Grooves for a same day mega-event?
- or a talent show!
Ethos West (Kenny) will possibly fund the movie fee next year (~$525)
Promote earlier? Will that matter? Mainly focus on the push to advertise the ~2 weeks leading up

A costumed BINGO party on Halloween in the afternoon during library hours. Capped at 90 people. We need to double check our supplies

We have a collection of assorted goodies left over that we did not give out during the Spring Adult Social that we can give out

On August 6th, the Sumas Fire Department is hosting a CPR class
Nancy proposes that we have a shed party to clear out, clean, and organize the shed
