    • Bank: $4,828.87? (guess as D is not here to verify)

      • -$205.63 for custom event stickers (6x100)

WCLS Updates

  • Sumas Library Update

    • Work has started on repairs! Estimated time to completion is still unknown but hopefully we hear soon
    • Contract says repairs should be done within 4 months
  • WCLS events

    • Summer programming is being planned right now (won’t be solidified until end of month)

      • Nancy requests basket weaving!
    • Library surveys went out, and more surveys are coming. This will inform the WCLS strategic plan for the future. A future survey will specifically target non-cardholders

    • Two spots left in Dog Day Afternoons, a program where kids read to dogs. This was a Sumas program but is taking place at the Everson Library on April 16 & 23

Spring Adult Social

  • Event stickers
    • Stickers are in and look great!
    • 600 stickers were ordered at 100 for each of our 6 planned events
      • next year adjust counts to the expected event sizes
  • Donations, prizes to purchase, pies
    • Targeting local businesses not impacted by the flood
    • Any goods donated that celebrate the community or were made within the community are encouraged, even if donated by individuals
    • Donations so far from Emerald City Smoothies, Village Books, and Lavendar Farms (plus Robin!)
    • Bob’s might donate a night at the hotel
  • Decorations, tables, photo backdrop
    • Tables that can be drawn on
    • Reuse photo backdrop from last year
  • Schedule for the night is still pending
  • Museum Trivia: The Sumas Historical Society and Museum will supply some trivia for us to use in a trivia game for the night
  • Brett and Sarah to pick up pies for after dinner from Dutch Bakery

Taxes & banking

  • Check-in on taxes to be filed
    • There have been lulls in this, need to verify our status (knowing we have little to report)
  • Proposal to change banks to WECU (postponed but there is interest)

Summer Events

  • Library re-opening party planning. The library likely won’t open until this summer, and that is tentative. Should be done with 4 months.
  • Finding a business partner for Movie in the Park
    • Partner with a vet? Kelshun or Nooksack
    • Kelly Insurance?
    • Brown & Brown

Extra Bits

  • Look for partnerships we can do with the community center, possibly for elderly
